Team Grinch being a favorite to win going in started off the event strong. By Mission 4: Domination, it was hard to choose a victor, both Team Santa and Team Grinch had had their share of victories and defeats. After a double round of Domination, Team Santa’s passif agressive strategy and comunication on the field prooved too much for the Grinch and his minions.

Team Santa won this event with a final score of 325 to 105. The role of the Grinch was played by Jean-Francois Vienneau and Santa was played by former Moncton Korruption player Luc Melanson.

Thank-you everyone who came out and made this another sucessful paintball scenario. Happy Holidays and Merry New Year.

December 8, 2011 – G.I. Sportz has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Procaps, a leader in paintball manufacturing. The acquisition will combine two of the industries leading manufacturers of paintballs and paintball
products. The DXS/Draxxus line of paintballs, along with the VForce Vision Systems, will be immediately integrated into the G.I. Sportz network.
Richmond Italia, President and CEO of G.I. Sportz, commented, “By re-acquiring Procaps, we have taken the first step towards returning the paintball industry back into the hands of paintball players. We have always loved the game, and it’s great to have the opportunity to bring DXS/Draxxus back home.”

“We are excited to move forward and expect a seamless integration of the two companies. Our customer service representatives will be contacting all customers within the next few days. We invite all current Procaps Direct
customers to contact us as well”, said Dave “Opie” Thomas, Vice President of U.S. Sales.
Procaps was founded in 1996 and quickly grew to be the largest, most successful, privately owned paintball manufacturer in the world. In 2005, it was sold to an investment fund. In 2011, the company will come full circle, back to it’s original founder, Richmond Italia.
Customers can contact G.I. Sportz by email, sales@gisportz.com or can call the customer service line, (630)752.0238 with any inquiries.

During filming of content for the next season of Mythbusters this past Tuesday, a small error in calculation has caused a cannon ball to stroll through the small Tassajara Creek neighborhood in Dublin, California.

The Mythbuster’s crew was staging a shot at Alameda County Sheriff’s Department bomb disposal range, a facility which they have used over 50 times in past episodes. The shot was to be used in next seasons episodes. The a small error in calculation has caused the cannon to launch its projectile past huge containers of water, skipping off a dirt barrier and flying through a Tassajara Creek home, bouncing off another’s roof eventually coming to rest in a mini van over 650meters away.

The Mythbusters have filmed countless experiments without issue, most of which have included some sort of explosion. In the word of caution, they’re adequately insured for such experiments. Unrelated to the Mythbusters, the same bomb disposal site had a launched a stray .223 calibre bullet into a nearby home in 2007. Perhaps its time to decommission/reevaluate the site as safety concerns must be on the rise.

Today’s internet has far surpassed what we had at the turn of the Millennium nearly 12 years ago, and this is largely in part to advancements in the tool we have to access the internet.

Internet Explorer has kept a podium position since its release in 1995 along side Windows95. In 1996-97 Netscape Navigator started gaining ground and after going open source in 1999 still lives in the spawning of Mozilla Firefox in 2004. Google took a piece of the browser pie with the release of Chrome in 2008 which has received widespread adoption due to the company’s grandeur and reputation.

There’s other options to mention such as Opera Browser, Kmeleon and Safari. So what do you run on your machine? Is it you choice or forced upon you by work or Admin Nazis? Let us know your thoughts in the comments bellow or discuss this in our forum.

Dear Industry Members, Teams, Players and Supporters,

In June of this year, the PSP management and the NPPL management met in Las Vegas for a meeting to construct the framework for a merged or newly combined entity to host one paintball tournament event series for 2012 and beyond. Both the PSP and the NPPL supported by the majority of the industry felt that given the past erosion of our industry and the current economic uncertainty, that one league hosting a series of events would be the best thing for everyone involved. After additional meetings in New Jersey, Orlando and Las Vegas combined with countless phone conferences and email correspondence, we were unable to come to an agreement that satisfied both parties. Given the time that is left in the calendar year and the quickly approaching 2012 tournament season, we have exhausted the time to negotiate further.

The PSP & NPPL staff fully recognizes the benefits of a combined league for 2012 and with the most genuine of intentions, deployed all assets and made every effort to make one league a reality for the paintball community. We believe the PSP & NPPL organizations pursued the negotiations with the same intentions and shared our desire to be successful. The PSP & NPPL both recognize the termination of negotiations as a temporary setback but remain committed and optimistic to merging for one league in the future. We want to thank the staff of both the PSP & NPPL and sincerely appreciate the efforts they made to consummate a combined entity.

Regards,

The PSP & NPPL Management.
